The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a running event leading up to the Special Olympics Vermont Summer Games. Law enforcement, public service personnel, and Special Olympics Vermont athletes will join forces to escort the Flame of Hope from the four corners of the state to the University of Vermont. Over three days, runners from more than 50 departments will cover hundreds of miles of Vermont roads building awareness about Special Olympics.
In addition to running, LETR volunteers sell t-shirts to raise funds for Special Olympics Vermont. For more information or to purchase shirts, please contact Sasha Fisher. firstname.lastname@example.org (802)-861-0278.
On Friday, June 3rd, Torch Runners will light the cauldron during the Opening Ceremony, signifying the opening of the 2016 Special Olympics Vermont Summer Games.
