Special Olympics Young Athletes provides early developmental opportunities for children, utilizing guided motor activities. Children ages 2-7 with and without intellectual disabilities will benefit from organized play and sports skills development with their peers. This program is available to families at no charge. The Young Athletes program at the Brownell Library in Essex Junction will take place on Wendesday afternoons from 3-4pm from June 21 – August 9. The Brattleboro Buddy Walk is our major annual fundraiser for Special Olympics of Windham County. The event includes food, music, a raffle, presentations by athletes and volunteers, a one mile walk - AND a chance to network with other families and organizations that support and work with our special needs community. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Anyone who raises at least $50 in pledges or donations has their registration fee waived. Proceeds support our current programs…
