Friday, June 21st
LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN Law Enforcement personnel from across the state will carry the Flame of Hope through communities around Vermont in the days leading up to Summer Games. The Final Leg will lead into our Opening Ceremonies on Friday afternoon, kicking off the games. It’s a moment you won’t want to miss as we honor the dedication and effort of the officers who support Special Olympics athletes year-round.
OPENING CEREMONIES On Friday afternoon athletes, coaches, families, supporters, Law Enforcement, and volunteers will gather in the heart of Saint Michael's College to mark the beginning of the event and celebrate these brave and inspiring athletes!
DANCING WITH THE STARS The fun doesn’t stop at the ceremonies! Get ready for an exciting Dancing with the Stars-themed dance on Friday evening. Come dressed to impress and be ready for a night of fun, music, and celebration as we embrace the spirit of the Games! Registered Delegates Only.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN Get ready to cheer on the athletes as they compete in the Bocce and Basketball competitions and showcase incredible talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. It’s a great opportunity to support the athletes and witness the joy of competition.
In the days leading up to the event members of Vermont's law enforcement community will carry the Flame of Hope across the state. The Final Leg will lead into Opening Ceremonies UVM on Friday afternoon! Show your support for LETR by buying a t-shirt, cheering on runners as they carry the torch through your community, or making a donation!
